PostgreSQL Administrator

Remote job - 100%

Requirements/Responsibilities:
  • PostgreSQL database administration
  • Development and setup of new PostgreSQL instances
  • Parameter handling in postgresql*conf
  • Backup, restore and recovery of Postgres (WAL-G)
  • Secure handling of Postgres roles/users and permissions
  • Operation of PostgreSQL clusters/instances and databases
  • Operation and handling of Docker containers
  • Customisation and development of Docker images (OS: Debian Linux)
  • Deploying Docker containers via Ansible scripts
  • Handling of general installation routines in Linux (RHEL, Debian)
  • Postgres monitoring, analysis and patching
  • Maintaining operating and support manuals
  • Dealing with GIT
  • Knowledge and experience with other database systems desirable (MS SQL, Sybase, DB2, Oracle)
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Fluent German language will be a plus
  • Availability for on call once every 6 weeks
